<div>About a month ago, I injured my foot while working. Normally this wouldn’t have been a serious issue, but I am diabetic, and wounds do not heal the same for me. What started as a small injury quickly became infected. Soon after, my toes began turning dark, and I started experiencing numbness.

<div>I went to the emergency room when I realized something was very wrong. The doctors told me I had two options: amputate my foot or seek treatment from a specialist immediately. As the sole provider for my family, losing my foot would make it extremely difficult for me to continue working in my field and supporting them.

<div>Unfortunately, due to not having medical insurance, the hospital discharged me and advised me to find a specialist on my own. Since then, I have been trying to do everything I can, but the cost of seeing a specialist and receiving proper treatment is more than I can afford on my own.

<div>I have worked my entire life to provide for my family, and asking for help does not come easily to me. But right now, I am facing the possibility of losing my foot, and I need help to have a chance at saving it.

<div>Mi nombre es Miguel Estrella, y estoy pidiendo ayuda durante uno de los momentos más difíciles de mi vida.

Hace aproximadamente un mes, me lastimé el pie mientras trabajaba. Normalmente esto no habría sido un problema grave, pero soy diabético y las heridas no me curan igual. Lo que comenzó como una pequeña lesión rápidamente se infectó. Poco después, mis dedos de los pies comenzaron a oscurecerse y comencé a experimentar entumecimiento.

Fui a la sala de emergencias cuando me di cuenta de que algo andaba muy mal. Los médicos me dijeron que tenía dos opciones: amputarme el pie o buscar tratamiento con un especialista de inmediato. Como único proveedor de mi familia, perder el pie me haría extremadamente difícil seguir trabajando en mi campo y apoyándolos.

Desafortunadamente, debido a que no tenía seguro médico, el hospital me dio de alta y me aconsejó que buscara un especialista por mi cuenta. Desde entonces, he estado tratando de hacer todo lo posible, pero el costo de ver a un especialista y recibir el tratamiento adecuado es más de lo que puedo pagar por mi cuenta.

He trabajado toda mi vida para mantener a mi familia, y pedir ayuda no me es fácil. Pero ahora mismo, me enfrento a la posibilidad de perder mi pie, y necesito ayuda para tener la oportunidad de salvarlo.
