Help Michelle & Weeble get back on their feet

Donation protected
My name is Marcia, and I am raising money for Michelle & Weeble. I was alerted by a friend that a homeless woman and her dog needed help. I drove the following morning and found a sweet woman holding on to a small Pomeranian dog. The woman, Michelle, was dripping in sweat, and her dog, Weeble was heavily panting. I moved the pair to a covered office complex with shade, and within 30 minutes, they were both doing much better. I ran out and got Weeble a leash, and a collar, some food for both and then I realized Michelle had no shoes on her feet. I returned home and grabbed a pair of sneakers from my son’s closet. Michelle’s feet had swelled up 3 sizes larger than her true size. Michelle and I chatted, and I went home to gather some more stuff for her. I googled the name she gave me to see if there was any information I should know about her. I first came upon a Linked In profile with her name and almost kept scrolling because I was making sure the woman wasn’t wanted for any serious crimes. I clicked on the Linked in profile picture and saw a beautiful woman. I closed the picture and prepared to move on to the next entry that might be her when something told me to look again at that picture. I saw this face that might have resembled hers, but I thought I must be wrong. I ran back to where I left her and stared at the picture on her profile while looking at her face and said to her, holy cow, this is you! I handed her my phone and she said oh yes that is me. From that moment forward, everything changed for me. This woman had a life, a career, and people recommended her for her work and their relationships in business. I was floored. I was directed to call 211 to get her into a shelter for the night. We called together and were told there were no available rooms for her, but she could always try the hospital. I decided that was the best course. I dropped her and Weeble, a registered service dog, at the ER, and she stayed the night. Yesterday I made phone calls and gathered guidance on Facebook groups. I spoke with a social worker who handles Millburn and Livingston and we met with Michelle and created a plan. Her journey back to the life she once lived starts here. With the help of friends and neighbors, I know Michelle will have a chance to get her life back. Michelle asked for nothing. She’s very appreciative of all that has been done so far. Thank you all for supporting her journey.
