Help Michael Stavris

Michael Stavris, a  doorman who means so much to all the residents at Kips Bay Towers, is very ill and needs our help.  In January Michael was suddenly hospitalized with a hematoma involving his hip.  He was subsequently diagnosed with diabetes and extensive infection of virtually his entire leg.  He required major surgery, and the doctors are still working to stem the spread of infection.  He is expected to be hospitalized for at least another month.

A series of financial problems have complicated this time for Michael and his wife, Anne.  Besides the mounting medical bills, Anne lost her job due to an unsympathetic employer.

My husband and I have set up this Go Fund Me page because we think of Michael not just as our doorman, but as our friend.  Since we know that many of our neighbors feel the same way, we thought this fund raising campaign would give everyone an opportunity to help Michael out.  Any contributions will be greatly appreciated.
