<div>On September 9, 2025 (~11:05 AM), I was riding a Lime scooter near the Stamps Health Center when I hit the curb and fell on my left side. I fractured my left elbow (radial head) and chipped two teeth. I received emergency care at Grady Hospital and ongoing dental treatment at B-You Dentistry.

<div>After talking with UnitedHealthcare Student Resources and exploring upgrades, I learned that major dental procedures (root canals/crowns) and these accident-related services are not covered by my student plan and can’t be covered retroactively. I’m on a graduate teaching assistant (GTA) stipend ($2,520/month before taxes), and I’ve been paying the dental bills in installments, but the total is beyond what I can manage alone.

<div><strong>I’m asking for help to cover the uncovered medical and dental costs so I can recover and stay focused on teaching and research.</strong>

<li><strong>Hospital/orthopedic care (Grady)</strong>: $6,174 billed — pending insurance, estimated small deductible expected

<li><strong>Elbow care &amp; PT</strong>: $342 — specialist and therapy visits
</li>
<li><strong>Medications/supplies</strong>: $150–$200 — pain medication, antibiotics, sling, and other recovery items
