Forced to abandon her studies, she now focuses solely on surviving the turmoil. Compounding their plight, Mervat's family has lost their source of income, leaving them unable to meet even their most basic needs.

<div>The Al Bhaisi family are sheltering in Deir al Balah where the situation is dire. The money will be transferred to their sister in Türkiye and used to pay Hala to evacuate them to Egypt where they will be met by other members of their family and pick up their lives in safety.
