Help Merlin Kuder fight Cancer

Donation protected
This is a plea of support for my brother on the rough journey he has ahead. Merlin was unexpectedly diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma (a rare stomach cancer) on June 29th, 2021. Fortunately, the cancer is still in stage 1, as Merlin sought medical attention immediately after vomiting blood, but sadly, this type of cancer is inoperable, and cannot be treated with chemotherapy. Our fervent hope is that the aggressive radiation treatments will keep it from spreading to other organs, especially the lungs and liver. Successfully isolating the cancer can lead to a positive prognosis.

Merlin Kuder (age 37) graduated from Minneapolis High School in Ottawa County, KS in 2002. During high school, he was very active, especially in Wrestling and Show Choir. Merlin is now the owner and operator of a small painting company, doing both interior and exterior jobs, but the intense labor of his work is becoming increasingly difficult, and his expenses are climbing . He is a loving, single father to three amazing children, ages 7, 9, and 11. His kids have always been his top priority, and he chooses to shape his life around their needs and happiness, which he would tell you brings him true joy!

Merlin has just completed one full round of treatments while trying to work full time, which has put an enormous strain on him. Doctors have encouraged him to avoid sun exposure and get plenty of rest to have the best chance at beating this cancer. His business is his only source of income, but the intense labor requirements are not currently attainable with his compromised strength. He is such a hard worker, but this situation is forcing him to cut back, despite the mounting bills.

Struggles with health are no stranger to Merlin. In 2004, he had a bone tumor called Osteochondroma that was removed from his spine and ribs, and last year he had a surgery to remove a bone from the passageway between his spinal cord and brain, a very painful condition called Occipital-Neuralgia.

He has unwavering faith that things will all work out, considering this cancer just another bump in the road, and remaining positive despite all of these challenges. We are humbly asking that you, as the Body of Christ, might consider contributing to Merlin, as he continues to do what he can to provide for his family. Your continued prayers, love and support mean so much to him, and all of us! Thank you, and God Bless!
