Help Meritxell beat cancer

Our good friend and amazing vocalist Meritxell Negre needs our help.

After a long and successful career in the US, she returned to her native Barcelona a year ago to work in Europe and be close to her mother and son, who both live there.  Shortly after arriving she discovered that she had colon cancer.  After a long treatment and several surgeries, it was thought to be in regression, but now has spread to her lungs and stomach.  She is currently receiving treatment in Barcelona.  However, considering the severity of her illness at this point, we are trying to get her access to the best care in the world.   She is seeking several options, the most likely of which now will be Sloan Kettering in the US.  Unfortunately, when she moved to Barcelona, she stopped her US medical insurance, and will now have great difficulty paying for her treatment in the States.

She is incredibly talented, very hard working, and very much in need of our help.  She is also a person that would never ask for it.  That is all the more reason I am asking you on her behalf to help us, her friends and family, contribute to her treatment.  She will need a lot, and she will need it soon.  Any help you provide will be generous and very much needed.
