Help Meredith record an album!

Hi all,
If you're looking at this here thing, you are most likely a friend or at least a friendly acquaintance of mine, or maybe you've seen me out playing somewhere. Regardless of how you got here, THANK YOU for taking the time to consider supporting me in recording a new album of my music.
I have been wanting to record a new album for a long long time (the last attempt I made was in 2011), and I am, to say the least, ready! I have not had recordings of any sort available for streaming or sale in a long time, and with gigs and tours looking like they will be scarce for quite a while, having my music online is one of the best chances I have to get my music to new listeners. I am also positioned to potentially gain quite a few new fans when a gorgeous video game called Maquette - created by my dear friend Hanford Lemoore and which features some of my music - will be released by Annapurna Interactive. Maquette is set in San Francisco and has a curated soundtrack which I am thrilled to be a part of.

I plan to record my album at Women's Audio Mission (WAM ) in San Francisco, a nonprofit whose work I respect and admire and want to support. In case you're not familiar with their organization, you can learn about them here. I will be recording over two weekends in August with my beloved bandmates Paul Griffiths and Sean Silverman. I am hoping to have the album done and ready for release in October 2020. Performances of several of my original songs that we will be recording can be found on my website and YouTube channel.
The costs associated with creating this album shouldn’t be insurmountable, but with my income, would be challenging. Asking for help with this is not easy or comfortable, and I know that especially these days, there are countless important causes you could be donating to (and I hope that you are if you can!). All I know is that for years people at my shows have asked me where they can find my music to listen to at home, and I haven’t had an answer for them. I know in my heart that I need to make this album, for myself as well as for those of you who enjoy my music. And having my music for sale online when Maquette is released and a whole new audience hears my music could make it possible for me to make more of my living from music and rely less on a day job, which was my primary goal when I moved back to the U.S. just before COVID hit.
If you are willing and able to support me financially in getting this album made, please know that ANY AMOUNT will make a difference. However, there will be official “thank yous” for certain tiers of donations:
$30 donations receive an electronic copy of my album upon release
$50 donations receive handwritten lyrics of your favorite song of mine + an electronic copy of my album upon release
$100 donations receive a recording of the cover song of their choice by yours truly + an electronic copy of my album upon release
$500 donations receive a home concert for you and your friends (solo or trio, indoor or outdoor, once it is officially safe to do so) + an electronic copy of my album upon release
I am eternally grateful to all of you for your love and support as friends and family and fans (even though that word feels so very strange). I can’t wait to give you all hugs and play shows in our beautiful indoor San Francisco venues and dance and celebrate music and life together.
