Help Mentally Challenged Paul Get His Home Back.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to review our fundraiser. My name is Charline Melanson, I have been taking care of Paul for over 20 years. He lost his father when he was young as a result, his childhood and adult journey have required many helping hands and it has never been easy. I ensure his bills are paid and help him to care for his finances. Paul is mentally challenged with severe learning disabilities, he lost everything to a fire on June 8, 2021.

Paul lives independently, with the help and support of our entire community and my financial oversight. Paul had no insurance, mostly due to his extremely small budget. He lost his home and his modest life long-accumulated belongings. Leaving him with only his truck and a leather coat which amazingly, survived the fire. He has been homeless and members of the community and his cousin have offered couches, chairs, and other arrangements to keep him off the street.

I have known Paul for over 30 years, despite his challenges and disabilities, he has worked very hard. Every day he works hard jobs like the fish plant, smokehouses, and other labour intensive work. He does not depend on disability and desires to support himself. However, this fire has been devastating for Paul, causing him a lot of grief and depression. His disabilities and challenges make this extra difficult to comprehend. Paul has a big heart and is an amazing soul. He works hard and never expects much, I hope people will donate to this fundraiser to help us get Paul into the mini home we have found for him. We are hoping to replace his home and welcome him back to our community with a big heart and lots of love. If anyone deserves the help, it's Paul.
