Help Melissa Fight Cancer

Our dear friend, Melissa Kirkendall has found her body to be, what she calls it, "being visited by an unwanted visitor." In early February she was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. Melissa is optimistic and has decided she is "kicking cancer out!"
Melissa has been told by three different doctors that she needs to have surgery and most likely a radical hysterectomy and there are some issues which might make the operation more challenging and leave her with bigger scars, which means she will not be able to work for a few months while she is healing.
In all of Melissa's optimism she does have her moments of worry and fear about how she is going to pay for her medical bills and how she will be able to pay for her living expenses, when she is not working. She has already paid $5,000 for her first surgery and has another bill for $7,000 from the surgery and medical tests. Melissa, like many of us, does not have good health insurance and the insurance company is actively trying to figure out how to not cover her at all. Imagine trying to stay positive and strong while your body is fighting cancer and having to worry about how you are going to pay to fight the cancer so that you can be healthy again!
Her friends are gathering together to help her in her time of need. We hope that we can help Melissa focus on getting healthy and not on her financial worries. We ask that you spread the word to anyone that might be able to assist us in helping Melissa kick her cancer out and lessen her financial burden during this difficult time.
