For the past few months, I’ve been living with the debilitating pain of Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). Trigeminal Neuralgia is a condition that has made everyday tasks like eating, speaking, and even smiling difficult for me. This has become incredibly problematic since my job is based around talking and loud noises inside an animal shelter. So it has now left me with no choice but to go on short/long term disability. The reason I’m writing this is I need help. I want my normal life back. I want nothing more than to be able to fix this.

Trigeminal Neuralgia is often called the "suicide disease" due to the intense and unrelenting pain that comes with it. For me, this pain has been a constant struggle, one that has not only affected my quality of life, but has also made it seemingly impossible to work. Every moment is different and I never know when the pain will be triggered. Simple tasks like brushing my teeth and standing up can cause intense waves of electric shocks through my face and head. I’ve been told there is a way to fix this though.

Here’s where I need everyone’s help. After exploring numerous treatment options, I’ve been advised by my doctors that Microvascular Decompression (MVD) surgery is my best chance for a pain free life. MVD is a delicate procedure where a surgeon will open up your skull and relieve the pressure on the trigeminal nerve, which should help stop the pain. While this surgery offers hope, it also comes with significant medical costs and more time away from work as I recover. This is my best option to recover and be able to enjoy life again.

Unfortunately, due to the intensity of the pain and how fast things have progressed, I have been unable to work for almost the last two months. My savings have already been exhausted. That’s why I’m reaching out to you for support. I am fundraising to cover the cost of the surgery, medical bills, recovery time, and to help stay afloat.

Your support will not only help me get the treatment I need, but will also give me a fighting chance at a pain-free future. Even more importantly, it will help me make sure my animals can stay fed and safe in my home. They deserve there mom back. If you know me, you know my animals are my everything and the reason I work so hard. The last thing I want is for this to alter there life.
