Help Melinda & her 2 kiddos recover from the fires

On the night of September 28 embers from the nearby Shady Fire, set aloft by fierce winds, rained down on the mountain sanctuary of Monan's Rill in Santa Rosa, California. Within minutes, the fire consumed this historic community and with it the new home of our dear friend and local healer, Dr. Melinda Phoenix and her two gentle and spirited children, Oliver and Ella.
Fire is a visitor this family knows well. And fully embodying the surname of Phoenix, these resilient humans emerged with strength and grace from the loss of their home to the fire in 2017 as well, from which they narrowly escaped with their lives.
The intervening years have been marked by joyous growth and accomplishments. In 2019 Melinda's dream of co-creating a space to step fully into her gifts as a healer came to fruition with the opening of Creekside Healing Village. 2019 was also marked by great struggle, grief, surrender and re-birth as Melinda healed from an aggressive form of Cancer that nearly took her from her earthside form.
We now have the tender and precious gift of coming together to hold this beautiful family in their journey of rest, healing and rebuilding. Our contributions will be used for the purchase of clothing and books for the kids, replacing beloved toys, and most importantly, securing a safe and nurturing rental-home during the long process of land clearing and re-building at The Rill.

My name is Jessica Kunen and I live in Sonoma, Ca. I met Melinda through pure universal perfect timing and connected at an instant. She soon became my doula & acupuncturist during my pregnancy with my first born. She was an absolute angel sent to me during my transformation into Motherhood, helping my body and baby prepare for birth all the way through. I knew from the moment we met that her healing nature was so honest & pure. She embraces her gift wholeheartedly & that is why it is so important that we all rally together in support for her once again, always through & through, as she would do for us!
I am Janne Campbell and I live in Santa Rosa, California. I met Melinda in 2019 when our children attended a co-op playgroup together. Awaiting the imminent arrival of my second child after the devastating loss of my partner's mother, Melinda enveloped me with love and kindness. Though we had just met, she offered her acupuncture skills to me day or night if needed for my home birth. Her sense of mission and commitment to her community are truly rare. I'm grateful to be on the still-unfolding path of friendship and connection with this bright soul.
