Help Meisha and baby get home to Alice Springs

Meisha had finally decided to leave her bullying husband for good, but could not find any support services in Alice Springs to ensure the separation was peaceful, She rang the Women's refuge every day but they did not have any more room for women in need,  Meisha had to endure bullying, gas lighting and having her money taken from her and often feeling scared.
In a desperate attempt to get away, a good family friend paid for the airfares  and at short notice and Meisha and her baby were able to leave. Young mother Meisha and her baby Casia were flown from Alice Springs to Brisbane on 10th October.
The plan is to stay a couple of weeks to give the breakup time to sink in, and time to book a place in the refuge centre in advance so that Meisha and baby can return to her family in safety.
Meisha has been spending hours on the phone every day explaining to family of both sides what she has done to ensure the wellbeing of both her and the baby, hoping that her ex will accept her decision and move on in peace.
We are asking now that the community help with return flights to Alice Springs, money is tight, and over $850 has been paid for already by a family friend.
We hope to fly Meisha and baby home by the end of October and are asking for donations towards the trip home.
This will be a true gift for Meisha, who is feeling strong and ready to take on the challenges facing her. Time spent away has shown her that it was possible to get out of the abusive relationship, and from a distance she has been able to tell her ex and his family that she will not put up with bad treatment ever again.
