Hello everyone,
My name's Megan, and I started beekeeping three years ago. Beekeeping is my passion, and I plan to hopefully one day have my own beekeeping business. Winters in Maine can be rough on beekeepers. I lost one hive a few weeks back and went in yesterday to find a total loss of all of my beehives. I am heartbroken. I cried a lot, felt bad for myself, and realized I needed to pull it together because I can't stop and won't stop. With this being said, it costs $155-$175 for a package of bees. This price doesn't include the sugar, pollen patties, treatments, hive boxes, etc. I hope to get back up to five hives, and any amount is helpful. I feel weird about doing this, but I also know that bees are what keep the world going. Without bees, we would have a significant negative impact on the ecosystem and on our food supply. Not only do I need to keep going for myself, but for all of the people in this world I love! Thanks for considering donating to the bees.
I have purchased two Russian, one Italian, one Carolinian, and two Carolinian/Italian hybrids! Bees will be picked up in April, and May! Thank you all for your support!
