We see these stories on the news everyday and pray everyone is okay. You hope this never happens to you or someone you love. Then one evening the phone rings and it’s that call.
On Friday September 7th, 2018 my beautiful daughter Megan was involved in a horrific car accident. She was headed home from work heading west; when out of nowhere a young man traveling at an excessive rate of speed heading east lost control of his car. He slid off the road, crossed the divided highway and hit Megan head on. With no time to react her car was decimated. Changing her life and ours forever.
Megan is a wonderful Daughter and such a devoted Mother of two beautiful young Daughters’. She works very hard to provide for these girls. She is always on the run with gymnastics for both girls, softball for both of them as well as cheerleading for the oldest. Of course they are never at the same time or place. Throw in school and work, it leaves little time for much else. Now with the accident, Megan is unable to do all of these things she loves to do with her girls.
Megan is in critical condition and in a medically induced coma. She sustained a serious head injury, collapsed lung, lacerated spleen, 7 broken ribs (R+L),2 fractured vertebrae, fractured sternum, multiple broken bones including; left femur, right femur( multiple locations), right tibia/right fibula, multiple bones in her right foot, right humerus /left humerus, left ulna, and left radius. All these injury's will require multiple surgery's.
She will be hospitalized for many months with rehabilitation and a lengthy recovery. As you can imagine the other drivers insurance will not cover all of the costs. There are also the day to day costs for the girls and the monthly bills just don’t stop. We are asking for your thoughts and prayers along with any emotional and financial assistance you can give Megan and her family.
