<div>La Union werd afgelopen vrijdag, 25 juli 2025, ernstig getroffen door een tyfoon van categorie 4. De tropische storm een van de sterkte, heftigste en engste die La Union heeft gekend. Eén plek die ook thuis noem, met familie en vrienden die zwaar getroffen zijn.

<div>Iedereen die ik ken heeft schade, de een meer dan de anders. Stortregens en hevige wind braken daken af, vernielden ramen, verwoeste bomen en elektriciteitskabels, en in sommige gebieden werden huizen volledig verwoest.

<div>Op dit moment is er in veel delen van La Union nog steeds geen elektriciteit of water.

<div>Veel gezinnen hier hebben dringend hulp nodig. Mensen hebben behoefte aan de basis zoals droge kleren, schoon drinkwater en verpakt voedsel (in blik), maar ook onderdak en een droge plek om te slapen.

<div>Ik vraag jullie om steun, zodat mensen kunnen werken aan de wederopbouw van huizen en levens.
