Help Media Freedom and Democracy in Myanmar

On 1 Feb 2021, Myanmar military took over the power and arrested the elected government officials, elected members of parliament including President U Win Myint and State Counsellor, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. Since then, internet access was very disruptive and access to both Facebook and twitters were blocked, an attempt by the military to block access to true and transparent information. It is a critical time for the people of Myanmar to fight for their rights and democracy.
Kamayut Media is an independent media organization that has been established since 2012. Our mission was to provide in-depth, insightful, unbiased and truthful information to the people. With military dictatorship at play now, we will not be able to survive for another few months and contribute positively to society. We would like to continue to serve the people with the truth and information they deserve especially in a critical time like right now. With Myanmar people’s human rights and democracy are at stake, we respectfully request you to support us in any little way you could, in our struggle for media freedom.
