Hi everyone,
The last few years have been tough. With the loss of my father in 2015, life has been different to say the least.
I developed TMJ, which is a disruption in the joints that allow your jaw to open and close properly. This condition was developed from grinding my teeth at night. No doubt it was due to stress.
Because of this, I went through a therapy with a “tmj specialist” that made me a plastic TMJ appliance that I wore all day every day for 8 months that was supposed to correct the problem. Instead, it made things much worse.
My bite has changed and the position of my jaw has been altered. My teeth no longer sit together and I’m im constant discomfort. I sometimes look in the mirror and don’t recognize my own face as my appearance has also been altered due to the shift in the position of my jaw.
It is a struggle to sing and also to speak. I normally can’t go more than a half an hour of speaking without experiencing major discomfort. To not be able
to sing without pain has been really tough.
I’ve found a very good dentist here in Peru who can help me using orthodontics. But I need your help to do it.
Anything you can give I would sincerely appreciate.
Many thanks,
Nick
