Hi, my name is Eleonora , and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.

I am a mother, an athlete, and a woman who has always been independent and strong. Today, I am asking for help because a severe multi-ligament knee injury has taken away my ability to live the life I once had.

I suffered a complete ACL tear, medial and lateral meniscus tears, a complete tear of the deep MCL, and a serious injury to the posterolateral corner of my knee. This is not just a sports injury — it has affected every part of my daily life.

Right now, I can’t run.

I can’t train.

I can’t even move freely without pain and fear.

The hardest part is not being able to fully play with my son — to run with him, lift him, chase him, or be the active mom he deserves. Watching him want to play while my body can’t respond breaks my heart every single day.

This surgery and recovery are my only chance to walk without pain, to care for my child independently, and to return to the sport that gave me purpose, discipline, and strength. Rehabilitation after surgery is long, intense, and costly, and unfortunately not everything is covered.

I am not asking for luxury or comfort.

I am asking for a chance to:

• be a present, active mother

• return to training and competition

• live a life where I can stand on my own two feet again
