<div>The past 48 hours have been the worst nightmare. We wake up in the middle of the night to the sounds of explosions. The screams of children, women, and men buried under the rubble are something I can't get out of my head. My kids cry in terror and I cannot protect them.

<div>I look at those around me and think I am the lucky one for I am alive. My wife is alive. My boys are alive. I have no idea why we were spared.

We had to displace after the Israeli army made a ground invasion in Rafah city. We live now in a tent and my wife is about to give birth ( she is now 9 months pregnant ) .

We are a family in Gaza , like thousands ones there , I and my family consists of 8 members ( my wife , son, father, mother and other siblings ) are moving from one place to another more than 5 times and it's ended up with a tent in Rafah !
