Hi, I am Kris. if you are reading this you probably already read the page it was linked from, so i wont bore you too much more with my problems ill just sum it up very quickly:
I have experienced 4 years of exclusion from the NHS for various reasons which i go into in detail about on my website. i will continue to add discriminatory experiences to the site but there are so many of them its hard to keep up.
I am trying to raise cash to get private medical insurance, it will cost a ridiculous sum of money because i have a lot of pre-existing conditions like these:
ASD diagnosed privately because the NHS refused.
PTSD undiagnosed because the NHS refused
Hernia untreated for almost a year now, NHS doctors refused many times. A&E refused twice.
large lump in the leg, probably not cancerous but it was scheduled for surgery to remove it over four years ago.
the right leg is going dead, the nerve is dead and i cant feel my foot and part of my leg
ingrown nail from not looking after myself
probable prostate problem as well just to round it off
after some enquiry with BUPA, i found out that because i am autistic i may not be insured for any treatment for it or issues caused by it because it existed before i contacted them. this effectively excludes all autistic people from getting private medical cover.
i am sure insurance companies have found their way around this outrage as have most other places. this also means all disabled people born with any condition would never be able to get medical cover for it without using a 'pay as you go' type service, which would mean they are paying through the nose every time they see someone. in effect, it is a surcharge (and a massive one) on disability. wow. how the hell are they allowed to operate like that - we have laws that directly contradict it!
