Help me study in my dream school in America!

Hi, everyone! If you are reading this, thanks for offering me a time of your day!
My name is Luíza, I’m 25 years old and I’m a Brazilian acting student. I’m proud to say recently I have been accepted to the two year conservatory at The American Academy Of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles with a merit scholarship for my audition! And although I’m super excited and grateful for this opportunity, I’m creating this campaign to help me pay for my college tuition. Even with the generous scholarship I received from the school, there are still a lot of tuition expenses I need to cover, besides also paying for housing, groceries and transportation. I was able to make my first tuition deposit with the savings I had, but I would like your help to continue this journey!
Now I’ll tell you a little about myself :)
Since I was a kid, I’ve always been passionate about the arts. I would always dream of becoming an actress but I never thought I was capable of doing it. During my childhood, I was up for all the school plays and I even got in a theater class in my teenage years. However, I ended up not pursuing it because of time, money and I believe some courage as well.
Still, my passion for the arts didn’t go away. After high school, I immediately got into college where I graduated in Broadcast media studies (or translating it literally from my native language - Radio and Television). After that, I also got a master's in Journalism. Since then, I have worked in two of the biggest tv networks in Brazil as a producer and also had a job as a marketing assistant. I pride myself on being a hard worker and always focused on my professional goals. That’s why, since I got my first paid internship during college in 2017 I saved money to study film in America and in 2023 I was able to live this dream. I went to the New York Film Academy in La to study producing and filmmaking.
But when I was there, the love I had for acting got to me all over again. There, I was able to act in some students' short films and finally felt ready and capable of doing what I really wanted all my life. With the help of my parents, I was able to extend my stay to do a 8 week acting workshop there and completely changed my perspective. Now I know and feel what I’m really meant to be. So since I got back to Brazil in November of last year, I studied and researched possible schools in America, because my life dream is to build a career there. After some months of rehearsals and calls with former professors, I auditioned for The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and I got in.
This is definitely one of the greatest moments of my life so far and I do not take it for granted. That’s why I need your help. I’m still working and doing freelance to save money and I’ll keep doing that when I start school as well, but the money I get from this is still not enough. My mom is the one who supports my whole family and next year she will be sending my little brother to school as well. She worked a lot to help me extend my stay in the US last year, but right now me and her are joining forces to try to do that again.
The money raised here will be destined fully to my tuition and will cover a whole year of study, and with freelance and other jobs I get I'll be able to take care of my other expenses as housing and groceries.
So even If you could donate only 5 dollars, I can’t express how much this would mean to me. I’ll always remember and be grateful for the people that helped me begin my career! I promise to work my heart off for the opportunity I was given and for the people that believed me.
My goal is to achieve this dream and in the future be able to help other latin students whose dreams also sometimes feel far away.
With love,
Luh
