I need your help. Based on my current immigrant status, I am not allowed to work for the next six months in Germany. The story is complicated, so I will explain everything here to the best of my abilities.
First off, let me start by saying that my current occupation in Germany will be student, as I am registered at a local school for a fashion design study. Previously I was working full-time at a retail store in a different city. I realized I liked fashion but that I wanted to be the designer. Those of you who know me, have seen my art and designs and know what I am capable of.
The previous residence permit I had was a work permit. In order to find out information about obtaining or switching to a student based residence permit, I first had to move to the city where my school is located. I then had to register myself and only once I was registered as a resident in this city could I get advised at the immigration office. It was here that I was told that I would not receive an appointment to obtain a completely new permit until late February 2020.
Until this date, I am allowed to study but I may work any type of job (full-time, part-time, flex, etc). This includes any funds earned through an online shop or something along those lines. I am not able to cancel my school contract anymore either due to the cancellation policy.
So even though it has now become much harder for me to finance this study, I do not even have the option to back out and pursue full time work again.
I can afford my school tuition on my own, but all other expenses will deplete my savings account until the date of my appointment. I am asking you to help me afford my rent until March 2020, so that I can securely live here and complete my study.
I am not even sure if at this appointment my permit will be approved. It is unlikely I will be denied but the risk is there.
If I can raise this money before December 1st, I know that I can relieve a huge stress from my life. Your donations ensure that I will be able to nourish my body, make my rent confidently, and focus on learning as much as possible at school.
Thank you so so much! I will make sure to be the best designer I can be and make you all proud!
Lauren (Bubsie) C.
