Help Me Serve Impfondo

November is fast approaching! This is when I will be serving in Impfondo in the Republic of Congo.  I also served there 4 years ago as a medical student. Then I was able to learn from and help Dr. Joseph Harvey at Pioneer Christian Hospital, a 60 bed general mission hospital providing much needed medical care to estimated population of 300,000 people.   It was this pivotal trip that the Lord used to further spark my passion for missions and desire to work abroad.

Now, by the grace of God I'm planning to go back for one month in November to serve in this remote town with more skills and knowledge as a family medicine resident.  Another resident doctor and I will be giving much needed relief to the existing missionary physicians present.  We will be doing inpatient medicine, clinic, delivering babies and performing C sections. I am so overwhelmed with thankfulness to God for this wonderful opportunity to serve in such a tangible way.

The World Health Organization estimates that there are about 0.1 physicians per 1,000 people in the Republic of Congo. When you look at the disparity between the number of doctors in the U.S.  to those in the Republice of Congo, one might wonder what difference can one doctor make​ short term? The difference will come ONE CHILD at a time, ONE MAN or ONE WOMEN at a time. Please help me make that difference by partnering  with me through your financial and prayer support .
