Real Talk: I’ve Been Holding It All Together — But I Can’t Do This Next Part Alone.

Hey everyone, I’m Dijah — founder of BMB Consulting & Assisting, full-time hustler, assistant, advocate, and woman on a mission. If you know me, you know I’m the one who shows up — for my family, my community, my clients, and anyone who needs someone to stand in the gap.

For the past year, I’ve been quietly building something I truly believe in — a beauty space in Lakewood, Ohio. But it’s more than just a salon. It’s a launchpad for women. A space for stylists, estheticians, and beauty professionals not only to rent a booth — but to be mentored, educated, and empowered to eventually own their own businesses.

I’ve been laying the groundwork behind the scenes:

Paying rent out of pocket

Creating business systems

Planning workshops and onboarding tools

Setting up contracts and resources to help women succeed

My vision has always been bigger than just chairs and mirrors — it’s about ownership, community, and freedom. I want to help women not only work — but build legacies.

But right now, I’m in a fight to keep the dream alive.

Here’s what happened:

Someone I trusted to collaborate with me turned around and tried to take the shop for themselves. After all the time, money, and energy I put in. It was painful and unexpected — but I won’t let it break me.

At the same time, I’ve been granted emergency custody of my two nieces, while helping my sister navigate recovery. I’ve been in courtrooms, hospitals, and caseworker meetings — doing everything I can to keep my family safe, healthy, and together.

I’ve been carrying all of this with no safety net. Just faith and grind.

What I’m Raising Funds For:

Paying off the back rent to avoid losing the shop

Securing the lease fully in my name

Finishing the setup: furniture, equipment, and booth spaces

Supporting legal/admin fees from the partnership fallout

Providing stability and care for my nieces

Continuing to be a resource for women in recovery, transition, or trying to start over

This space isn’t just for me — it’s for every woman who needs a fresh start, mentorship, and a real shot at something of her own.
