Help me save my heart dog
Donation protected
As many of you know, Ember, my heart dog, became ill Sunday night/Monday morning. Our vet in Port Angeles was transparent about the fact that she needed more treatment than what a a standard vet office could provide, and referred us to Poulsbo.
I checked her in to Poulsbo Animal Emergency and Specialty Clinic Tuesday afternoon, and she has been there ever since. She is severely anemic because her body is destroying her own red blood cells, and while the doctors have theories, we can not figure out what is wrong. Now, Ember is a fighter, and I am not giving up on her, but we need help. Until she can be diagnosed, she can’t be correctly treated, and that means more hospital time, which means a lot of money.
I have humbled myself before God and have released her life and my heart into His hands while begging for a miracle; but while I wait, I am humbling myself before my friends and asking for help. Please prayerfully consider helping us with this unexpected financial burden. Since I took her to the vet on Tuesday, I have maxed out my credit card and care credit, drained my bank account, borrowed funds from my parents and may have to resort to taking out a line of credit against my house just to keep her cared for until she is diagnosed, let alone treat her if there are treatments.
Ember and Luna are the best things to ever happen to me. In a time in my life where I was at my lowest, I brought Ember home from Indiana as a consolation prize for giving up on ever getting into graduate school. From the moment I held her, she poured joy and love in to me until my cup overflowed. When I got accepted to school two months later, she sustained me with kisses and pinwheel tail-wags as I earned my degree. She has healed my heart every time it has broken, and she constantly makes me laugh. She is joy, and her joy is not done impacting the world yet.
Any and every donation would be beyond appreciated. If we are blessed beyond our needs, all leftover funds will be donated to animal hospital assistance programs.
I would not be who I am without her and I would do anything to advocate on her behalf. Thank you for reading this far. Please keep us in your prayers.
God is good, all the time and all the time, God is good!
