<div>i’m dealing with a rare parasite eating my eye called Acanthamoeba keratitis and there is a real risk i could lose my eye (and need surgery once the intense treatment is over) saying that still feels unreal. this happened fast and it has taken over everything. the pain is constant and at times unbearable. i’ve spent weeks now laying in darkness because light hurts too much, trying to get through wave after wave of pain, fear, and screaming + crying in pain.

<div>what’s been hardest isn’t just the physical pain. it’s losing access to the parts of life that make me me. i can’t work the way i love to. i can’t move, create, connect, or be in my body the way i normally do. everything that once felt alive and expressive feels paused.

<div>i’m in intensive treatment right now with strong medications, frequent specialist appointments, imaging, and constant monitoring. this care is urgent and ongoing, and it’s expensive. the funds raised will go directly toward medical treatment, medications, specialist visits, hospital care, and any related travel or recovery costs as i do everything possible to save my eye and my vision.
