Hello, my name is Matthew, and I'm reaching out with sadness in my heart for my dog Nala. Nala is a 7 year old pitbull who's always had a big heart. Nala's been the best friend I could ever ask for over these years, she's been a loyal companion, and always cheers me up. Right now, Nala is facing pyometra, and time is running out.
Just the other day, Nala was diagnosed with pyometra, a serious infection of the uterus that must be treated quickly and aggressively. If treatment isn't started soon, Nala might not see next month come around. Nala has a real fighting chance, though, if we can start treatment immediately.
The cost of treatment, which is a surgery to remove the uterus, is estimated to cost $6,000, which is an amount my family cannot handle at this time. I created this fundraiser in hopes that enough kind and loving people choose to contribute something.
Nala's always been more than just a pet to me. She's been nothing but kind and loving. I was in 5th grade when my family got her, so her and I got to see each other grow up together. Now I'm older, I graduated high school a month ago, but Nala might not be around anymore. I should be excited for what chapter comes next in my life, but I can't stop thinking about the fact I could lose the most special companion I've ever had who I love so much. It feels like I've spent my whole life with her.
Nala's always been the one who gave everyone in my family hope. My father's condition-he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a couple of years ago-has taken a mental toll on my family. It's been a struggle to take care of him, but Nala was always here for us, smiling and joyful, giving us strength. Through all the times we've struggled and had financial issues, she's always been there, tail wagging, happy to see all of us, to remind us that it's gonna be ok. I'm going to miss that beacon of hope she'd always give us if we cannot get care in time.
Every single dollar raised will go straight towards her medical expenses to give her a chance to live, run around, play with her toys, and keep loving those who love her. If you can donate, or even just send a kind message, it means the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for being caring.
With gratitude,
-Matthew
