<div>If you know me, you most likely know Toby. And you might know Toby even if you don't know me. He is truly a lovable creature who inspires devotion in everyone he meets. For me, he is the most important creature in the world (no offense to my other cat Rosie). In short, he is my little baby boyfriend-son cat.

<div>For the last 3 years, Toby has had recurring ear infections caused by benign polyps, and earlier this year, we had a surgery to remove those polyps. His vet also noticed a mass within his ear canal different from the other growths. It was biopsied and diagnosed as a malignant carcinoma, and they were not able to remove all of it during that surgery.

<div>Luckily, there is no sign of spread, but his vets think the best option is a surgery called a TECA-BO (Total Ear Canal Ablation with Lateral Bulla Osteotomy) wherein they essentially remove his entire right ear canal.

<div>Of course, healthcare isn't free, and especially pet healthcare isn't free. I'm grateful that I have pet insurance (if you have a pet, dude, get it), but even with that, after the last surgery and this one, my savings will be wiped out.

<div>The estimate for the surgery is from <strong>$10,407.94</strong> to <strong>$12,964.02</strong> depending on medication amounts and hours of labor. My insurance estimated they can reimburse me for <strong>$8,492.88</strong>, meaning the remaining cost could be from <strong>$1,915.94</strong> to <strong>$4,472.02</strong>.
