 Hello everyone, my name is Jada. Three days ago, I was physically assaulted by my adopted brother’s biological father after I asked questions about the abuse my brother endured as a baby while in his care.

 What should have been a conversation about accountability turned into a violent attack. During the assault, I was punched in the face and head countless times. I went to the hospital, where I received medical care and X-rays. While thankfully nothing was broken, I’m still experiencing pain in my teeth and jaw and may require further dental treatment. I’ve also reported the assault to the police and am fully cooperating with their investigation.

 This experience has left me shaken to my core emotionally and physically, my CPTSD and anxiety are at an all time high. It’s difficult to process being assaulted while trying to seek answers about something that has affected our family for so many years.

 I’m raising funds to help cover the costs of my recovery, including dental care, counselling, lost income because I’m unable to work at the moment, legal fees for my representation and any other expenses related to this assault.
