Help Me Receive Gender-Affirming Care

Hello all my wonderful friends and family! I’m launching this fundraiser to help me receive gender-affirming laser hair removal treatments over the next few years. This is a long and costly process, and unfortunately no medical insurance plans cover these procedures.

I am only 23, working a minimum wage job and the cost of this all is a bit out of reach for me. You may be thinking I can just shave or wax for now, wait until I have a better job. But the truth is that due to gender dysphoria and prevalent transmisogyny it is imperative that it happen sooner rather than later. The impact that my gender dysphoria has on my overall confidence greatly hinders my ability to be outgoing and engaged enough to properly advance in the workforce. Without laser hair removal, even hair stubble is going to be visible, especially on my face. This makes me easier to recognize as a trans femme person which can make me a target. It is both equally important to my own sense of self and my overall safety that I receive these procedures.

All funds collected will be used to pay for my treatments. I’m hoping to fundraiser at least $3,000 to cover the cost of all the sessions for my face and upper body and everything up to and beyond the goal will be put towards the rest of my body, electrolysis treatments on my face, and vocal feminization lessons.
