Asalaamualaikum brothers &amp; sisters Join me on my journey of clearing my £12,052.86 debt, Insha’Allah. I’m an 18 year old Muslim sister currently going through a very difficult financial chapter in my life. I am carrying over £12,000 of debt, including two credit card debts, as well as other personal/family debts that I am hoping to have paid off very soon. At my age, I never imagined I would be in this position. I currently have very little financially to fall back on and the weight of having this debt at such a young age has been incredibly difficult.
 I am not sharing my story because I expect anyone to help me. I am sharing it because I am trying to find a way forward and I believe that Allah opens doors through people in ways we never expected.
 My debt journey
 A portion of my debt is made up of two credit cards, one of which has been accumulating interest making it even harder to get the balance down. I am doing everything I can to make repayments and reduce what I owe.

I also have other personal and family related debts that I have a responsibility to repay.
 I lost my job in July 2026 and I have been struggling to find a new placement to complete my current course. Insha’Allah I want to work, become financially stable, repay what I owe and eventually be in a position where I can help someone else who is struggling.
 Why am I asking for help
 I’m currently in a very difficult financial situation. Over the past few years, I went through a period of depression and during that time I struggled to mentally focus on myself, my finances and my future. I wasn’t in the best place mentally and things gradually became more difficult financially. Islam also teaches us the importance of fulfilling our debts and not taking our responsibilities lightly. At the same time, Islam teaches us not to lose hope in Allah’s mercy which has definitely been an eye opener for me. Every donation will go towards helping me reduce the debt that I am carrying.

I completely understand that not everyone is in a position to donate. Please never feel pressured. If you cannot give financially, sharing this fundraiser or making dua for me would mean just as much to me.
 I am documenting my debt journey openly because I want people to see where the support is going and how the debt is being reduced. I want to be transparent throughout this journey. To everyone who has already supported me   From the bottom of my heart, Jazakallah.. to every single person who has donated, shared my fundraiser, checked on me, encouraged me or made dua for me.
 You may never fully understand how much your kindness means to me. At a time when I have felt overwhelmed by this debt, your support has reminded me that I am not completely alone. May Allah reward every person who has helped me, put immense barakah in their wealth, ease their difficulties, forgive their shortcomings, protect them and their families and provide for them from sources they never expected.
 May Allah make your kindness a means of goodness for you in this life and the next. Ameen. I am continuing to work towards becoming debt free, one step at a time and I pray that one day I can look back at this chapter and say:

“Alhamdulillah, Allah brought me through it.”
