Hi, my name is Riley Hurford, and I’m a 19 year old volunteer firefighter with the South Kalispell Fire Department. Serving my community has quickly become more than just something I do—it’s a calling. My next goal is to become a certified EMT so I can better protect and care for people when it matters most.
I’ve been accepted into an EMT course in Missoula, but the cost is $1,000 in total, which is difficult for me to cover on my own. This course is the first big step toward my ultimate dream: working full-time as a firefighter and eventually becoming a paramedic.
By completing this training, I’ll gain the medical knowledge and hands-on experience needed to respond effectively to emergencies and save lives. It will also open the door to future opportunities in fire and EMS work.
I’m asking for any help you can give to help me reach this goal. Whether it’s $5 or $50, every bit brings me closer to making a bigger impact in my community.
Thank you for helping me take the next step in serving others.
