Help me march in the 2022 Rose Parade

Hello, and welcome to my GoFundMe page! A couple of months ago, I applied (and was accepted) to be part of a 300 piece marching band made up of all band directors that will be marching in the 2021 Rose Parade! I thought that it is such an incredibly unique opportunity, and definitely one that I am excited to be part of! For those of you who don't know, I have lived in Pasadena my whole life and am a product of Pasadena USD schools and music programs. I also attended Pasadena City College and marched the parade previously in 2001 and 2003! Now I know what you are asking...you live in Pasadena, so why do you need money to get there?!? Believe me, I asked the same question as well and contacted the foundation immediately to see if local residents who were participating had to pay the same amount. Unfortunately, they explained that all participants have the same fees because the band must be housed and transported together for the various events that must be attended leading up to the parade. Also, a portion of our fee is helping to build the float that will accompany the band.
