<div>Me llamo Leanna Garcia y aspiro a convertirme en la primera mujer española en competir en bobsleigh en unos Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno, y en la primera persona española en hacerlo desde 1968.

<div>El bobsleigh es un deporte de invierno que me gusta comparar con la Fórmula 1. Los atletas empujamos el trineo para conseguir la aceleración inicial, saltamos dentro y, después, la piloto dirige el trineo por una pista de hielo alcanzando velocidades de hasta 150 km/h. Es un deporte que exige velocidad, potencia, concentración mental y agilidad, además de contar con equipamiento de alta calidad.

<div>En mi temporada de debut como piloto en 2024/2025, hice historia para España al convertirme en la primera mujer en competir en un Campeonato del Mundo. Además, conseguí varios podios a lo largo de la temporada. Este último año me quedé a tan solo unos puntos de clasificarme para los Juegos Olímpicos de 2026. Aunque estoy destrozada por no haberlo conseguido, me siento increíblemente orgullosa de haber estado tan cerca con solo dos años de experiencia como piloto. Parte de los puntos que perdí se debieron a fallos en el material, algo que podría haberse evitado con mayor financiación.

<div>Estoy profundamente agradecida por el apoyo que estoy recibiendo de la federación, pero debido al alto coste del material, el entrenamiento y los tratamientos de fisioterapia, necesito la ayuda de mi comunidad para que mi equipo y yo podamos llegar al máximo nivel. ¡Cualquier donación es más que bienvenida! :) Y compartir esta página también ayuda muchísimo.

<div>My name is Leanna Garcia and I am aspiring to become Spain's first female bobsledder to compete at the Winter Olympics, and first Spanish bobsledder to compete at the Olympics since 1968.

<div>Bobsleigh is a winter sport that I like to compare to F-1 racing. The athletes will push the sled to gain initial acceleration, jump into the sled, and then the pilot will steer the sled down an ice track moving at speeds of up to 150km/hr. This sport requires speed, power, mental focus and agility, as well as high quality equipment.

<div>In my debut season as a pilot in 2024/2025, I made history for Spain as the first woman to compete at a World Championships. I also found myself on many podiums. This past season I found myself just a few points away from qualifying for the 2026 Olympic Games. Although I am heartbroken at this loss, I am incredibly proud to say that I was so close to making it to the Olympic games with only two years of driving experience. Some of the points I lost were due to equipment failures, which could have been prevented with more funding.
