Help me launch my Child Safety Lock Business

Hi, my name is Lyall and I am currently raising money to start my own business. I found myself out of work during the first lockdown and, whilst at home watching my kids, I started developing an idea for a new type of baby lock.
I watched my wife constantly battling with the safety locks that we currently have in the kitchen and thought that surely there had to be a better system. We have quite a few different types of baby locks around the house. They do the job but they are all very different (some are an eyesore), and a few are truly frustrating (WHERE IS THE MAGNET???). So I did my research and found a niche in the market. And I thought that it would be amazing if I could create something practical, hidden and easy for a parent to use.
I used the time to learn how to use 3D software - I researched and built a working prototype of a locks system that would not only make the home safe for the little ones, but could also be used in households with older kids, animals (i.e. dogs opening cupboards or rubbish bins), offices etc., etc... The advantages are endless!
I’ve used my savings to purchase equipment, software and material to build a crude but working prototype. I also started the process of, and made a payment for, a patent search and a professionally designed mock-up, which is currently ongoing.
I became self-employed after the restrictions were lifted, but then the 2nd lockdown wrecked that as well (unfortunately, it happened to many of us).
I am raising money to help pay for the completion of the design and patenting, which includes drafting and lawyers, having a professional prototype made, and marketing and advertising.
I cannot go into too much detail at this moment because the patenting process has not been completed yet. However, once it is done, I will be able to provide more information.
I worked so hard to get this far and it would be such a shame to let it all go to waste. I have a clear vision, I believe in my project and its future – it will be a wonderful addition to any home. Help me keep your children safe, and at the same time, keep your peace and comfort in mind.
