<div>UPDATED 7/6/2026- I don't care about having much money. I just need to survive. This has been a horrific time in my life &amp; after 3 months of waiting dads life insurance decided not to pay on the claim because of the way his death certificate was worded. I explains more below. It's just been my dad &amp; me living here for a long time now since the rest of our family have already passed.

<div>My dad was doing well for an 86 yr old then on the morning of 3/13/26 when dad was getting out of bed to use the bathroom he said he hadn't positioned his right foot correctly because normally he would sit on the side of his bed. pull the walker to him &amp; stand up then he had to turn both the walker and himself towards the foot of the bed from where he was  to get to the restroom on the other side of the bed  &amp; after he fell he said he hadnt positions his right foot correctly before starting to walk &amp; fell &amp; the whole right side of his body including his head hit the floor.. I had to call 911 because I couldn't get him up off the floor myself. They ended up taking him to the hospital because he wasn't acting right. As quick as he got into the 1st hospital they life lighted him to another hospital &amp; by the time he got to the 2nd hospital they had him on a respirator. They found that he had a right frontal lobe intercranial hemorrhage. Basically a brain bleed where all kinds of blood was rushing into his brain &amp; they couldn't stop it no matter what they tried because he was taking a medicine called Eliquis which is a blood thinner.

<div>They explained it like dads brain was a pinball machine &amp; all the blood flowing into it were the pinballs bouncing around &amp; hitting everything causing his body to not get the correct signals to function properly or in some instances not at all. It didn't matter that he fell and hit his head right before everything went wrong all they saw was an 86 yr old man on Eliquis &amp; used the drug as what caused the brain bleed &amp; respiratory failure. On my dads death certificate they listed the hemorrhage &amp; respiratory failure as the cause of death making it a natural death which there was nothing natural about it &amp; unfortunately dad had accidental life insurance so they declined my dads life insurance claim saying he died of natural causes. If all insurance was going to go by was what the death certificate said they could have done that months ago because they had it 2 days after dad died instead of having me jump thru a million hoops just to decline the claim over 3 months later..

<div>The day my dad passed away my world fell apart &amp; it's only gotten worse since. I can't begin to tell you how many stupid people I've had to talk to in trying to do the right things for dad. His cell phone service 2 different people said they would need to talk to dad before they disconnect his service even after I offered to send them his death certificate.

<div>I have no family here to help me with any of this &amp; due to medical issues of my own I'm homebound &amp; I've spent months waiting &amp; worrying how I was going to make things work until life insurance paid dads claim &amp; now since insurance is giving me nothing there are no words for the amount of stress I'm feeling. I'm scared to death to spend any of the little money I have.

<div>As hot as it is now I have only the window unit in my room that doesn't even put out cold air most of the time now &amp; a fan to stay cool because I wouldn't be able to pay a big power bill if I use the air.

<div>The idea of possibly loosing this home when its so close to being paid off &amp; dad having tried so hard to keep up the insurance so I would be ok &amp; now here I am so far away from being ok just kills me. I feel like any second I'm just going to break into a million pieces.

<div>Originally the pastor suggested I create this fundraiser and reach out to all the people who knew and loved my dad throughout his life. My father was many things . He was a great father &amp; husband &amp; brother &amp; served proudly in the United States Marines. He was always 1st in line to help anyone who might be in need or to just put a smile on someone's face or simply to give them a hug.

<div>My circle of people is small, but my dad has touched lives all across the US in many different ways. I understand times are hard but if there is any way you could donate anything it would be greatly appreciated because my only income is Social Security, which isn’t enough to cover all the bills and all the other living expenses without my dad’s help. I've already cancelled everything I could cancel.

<div>Being so honest out here is really hard for me, but I’m scared of losing everything. So I'm leaving this in God's hands , hoping that there are some kind people willing to help. Thank you for reading and for any kindness you can share.
