Help Me Keep My Dream Alive: A Coffee Business Built on Faith, Hustle, and Heart
Hi, my name is Dayshawn Nellon. I’m a proud military veteran, a mother, and the founder of a small mobile coffee business I’ve been trying to get off the ground. Over the last four years, I’ve been laid off three different times—and after this last one, I found myself in survival mode. I used what savings I had to pay a few months of bills and just barely pulled together enough to do my very first pop-up.
Since then, I’ve been giving this business everything I’ve got—late nights, early mornings, and a whole lot of faith. I’ve been actively applying for work while also trying to grow my business in hopes that it could become something real for me and my daughter. I don’t come from money, and I’ve never asked anyone for help. I’ve always worked hard and figured things out on my own. But this time, I’m humbling myself and asking—because I believe in what I’m building.
I’m asking for help to cover basic equipment upgrades, event costs, and the support needed to take the next step. I want to keep going—not just for me, but to show my daughter and others that you can keep moving forward, even when life keeps knocking you down.
If you’ve ever believed in second chances, in dreams built from nothing, or in small businesses run from the heart—this is it. Every donation, share, and word of encouragement means the world.
With gratitude,
Dayz
