As You Are Acupuncture - Start Up Funds

Nicole with As You Are Acupuncture  (AYAA) provides compassionate, gentle and high quality acupuncture for people of all ages.  

Founded in 2020, AYAA launched in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Even in all the chaos, we truly believe that rest and taking care of your body are radical expressions of self-care in a time where so much is asked of us. AYAA is humbled to be a part of the Austin health community at this time. 

The way that clients are seeking medical care has drastically changed due to COVID-19 and AYAA is adapting by incorporating a mobile acupuncture service that allows clients to be seen from the comfort of their own home or office in addition to brick and mortar. Not wanting to hang out in a waiting room with others? We will come to you! No childcare or time to drive to appointments? We got you. Hate Austin traffic? We'll rough it for you. Can't drive because your back spasms are too intense and you are a public safety concern? We'll see you soon. 

This is a challenging time to be starting a business but AYAA believes that there is a need for compassionate, nonjudgemental care now more than ever. The funds from this campaign will mostly be used for boring startup costs, but important ones listed below:

- marketing, branding, promotional materials for networking events and outreach
- gas for the car while doing outreach
- an Electronic Health Record service to keep us HIPAA compliant
- paying people who are better at doing their professional thing than we are (ex: CPAs, mechanics and business attorneys).
