<div>Earlier this year I was accepted into an Artistic Residency Program. I have been recording my first album, finishing several scripts and networking. <strong> I have been an artist, writer and performer my entire life </strong>and have <strong>struggled to have a flourishing career and education because of this. </strong>Some of the things I have been able to do such as singing and songwriting, theater, film, etc. <strong>had to stop</strong> each time <strong>due to Ulcerative Colitis. </strong>

<div><strong>Ulcerative Colitis</strong> is a disease <strong>that affects the colon, creating inflammation and ulcers in the lining of the large intestine. </strong>This causes severe joint pain, issues with eating (pretty much anything), extreme weight loss, intense fatigue, and more.

</div>
<div>Right now, <strong>I’m working on regaining access to life-saving medication and insurance</strong>, and I’m also looking into the <strong>SHIELD Program</strong>—an alternative healing approach that could help put me
