Help me get UK Settlement

I am an American, living in England with my English husband and our two young children. I am here on a spouse Visa which expires on the 22nd of March. I have to apply for settlement by then, or I will have to leave the country. The fee is £2,389 for settlement, plus £50 for the Life in the UK test that I have to take. ( Plus £610 if we want to pay for priority, and not have to wait 6 months for the answer)
Unfortunately we don't have the funds. My husband was signed off work by his doctor from March to September 2018. He was negotiating for a settlement payment from the company when they went bankrupt. We didn't get a settlement and he no longer had a job. We have used all of our savings and available credit to live off during this time. My husband continued to look for work, and has just been offered a job. However he won't get paid before I have to apply.
I am asking for enough to pay the fees, and give us a bit of breathing room until my husband gets his first paycheck.
