Help Alberto Get To Zürich—An Amazing Opportunity

I'm Alberto. Thank you so much for reading this! I am currently a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies student at Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte and a Pastoral Intern at Christ Covenant Church, Matthews, NC. Let me share a brief story with you.

What began as a cafeteria conversation with a professor at RTS ended up as a unique opportunity to present an academic paper for an international biblical study organization called International Organization for Septuagint and Cognate Studies (IOSCS) at a triennial Old Testament congress meeting at the University of Zürich in August 2022. The IOSCS mainly studies the Septuagint, a Greek form of the Hebrew Old Testament. (The one the Apostles and early church would have been familiar with). However, the cost of registration, transportation, lodging, and meals are not currently covered.

Soy Alberto ¡Muchas gracias por leer esto! Actualmente soy estudiante de Maestría en Divinidad y Maestría en Artes en Estudios Bíblicos en el Seminario Teológico Reformado, Charlotte e interno pastoral en la Iglesia Christ Covenant, Matthews, NC. Permíteme compartir una breve historia contigo:

Lo que comenzó como una conversación en la cafetería con un profesor de RTS terminó como una oportunidad única para presentar una investigación académica para una organización internacional de estudios bíblicos llamada Organización Internacional para Estudios de la Septuaginta y Afines (IOSCS, por sus siglas en inglés) en una reunión trienal del Congreso del Antiguo Testamento en la Universidad de Zúrich en agosto de 2022. El IOSCS estudia principalmente la Septuaginta, una forma griega del Antiguo Testamento hebreo. (Con el que los Apóstoles y la iglesia primitiva habrían estado familiarizados). Sin embargo, actualmente no se han cubierto los costos de inscripción, transporte, alojamiento y alimentación.
