I’m raising £5,000 towards the cost of my top surgery — around half the total. The rest I am lucky enough to be able to afford myself.

This is something I’ve wanted for a long time. Top surgery isn’t just about how I look — it’s about how I move through the world, how I breathe (literally), how I come home to myself.

I’m in a privileged position: I have access to private care, I have some financial stability, and I’m held by community. But the cost is steep — and my friends reminded me this isn’t something I should carry alone. It’s something that in all honesty the NHS should provide.
