Help me get permanent custody of my brother Manu

Hello all, my name is Camila and some of you had the chance to know my mother, Bianca. She passed away New Year's Eve in 2019 to a long battle with cancer. If you were blessed to know my mom you'd know she loved her children more than herself and always made keeping us safe and together was her biggest priority. After her passing, I managed to win emergency custody of my little brother against our biological father back in February. Emmanuel is just 16 years old and he’s experienced so much grief and loss at such a young age, we don’t have any family besides each other. Emergency custody is only temporary and I need to win permanent custody of him, leading us to the reason you're reading about us on GoFundMe. With proper funding we would be able to cover a family lawyer to assist us to get permanent custody of Emmanuel and some living expenses in the meantime. This is an urgent and desperate matter so Emmanuel can stay with me in a stable, loving, and safe home environment. He’s experienced so much change and grief this year that the last thing we want is to be separated from one another. He helps me heal as much as I help him heal from this traumatic year.
