Help me get my dad's '72 Corvette

Hello, my name is Steve Kimball. I am making this campaign for one goal: to finally get my late dad's 1972 Corvette back into my possession. I have not seen this car in 15 years, and sadly my dad never saw it after this either, but now have a possible opportunity to see it once again. It is at the home of one of my dad's friends, and has been sitting in the garage since. My goal is to use this money to buy it back, register it, and getting to working and driving condition once again. I realize that it will take more than 6 grand to do all of this, so if you can't help I completely understand. I also don't know if it still runs, but the last time I saw it it did run, but didn't look that great (at least cosmetically) .  This car has more sentimental value to me than monetary value, which is why I would feel complete if I were to get it, and hope to pass it along to my son in the future. I don't have any photos of the car at the moment, but am looking for some from '84 when my dad bought it. If you could please help me, I would be forever grateful. I would love to drive this car around Sacramento again, and reintroduce it to the people who remember it, just like he did back in the 80s.
