My father, who has COPD, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 skin cancer. We just learned that it has already spread to his adrenal gland & other parts of his body. On top of this, he’s been hospitalized with pneumonia, which has made his health even more fragile.

As if that wasn’t enough, he now needs to be out of his apartment by the end of this month. He’s living on a fixed income, and the stress of trying to handle all of this while being so sick is overwhelming. To make matters harder, his portable breathing machine—which helps him get around outside of the house—recently broke, and we’ll need to replace it so he can safely leave the hospital and maintain some independence.

I want nothing more than to be there with him full-time, but as a working mom, I simply can’t afford to take the time off without help. That’s why I’m reaching out.

Your support will go directly toward:

• Hiring a moving company to get him safely relocated

• Replacing his broken portable breathing machine

• Covering a couple weeks of lost wages so I can take time off work to be by his side and help him through this transition

My father is one of the strongest people I know, and he’s fought through so much already. More than anything, we want him here with us for many more years—to watch his grandkids grow up and to keep making memories together. Right now, he shouldn’t have to worry about moving, finances, or broken medical equipment—he should be able to focus on his health and healing.
