Help me buy a boat

UPDATE!

I am looking at several places to live which are not boats. While they are all in my budget for once, they range from to “garage” to “windowless attic”.

LITERALLY A WINDOWLESS ATTIC. I’ll give the craigslist link if you want proof.

Unfortunately, I am in no position to refuse the windowless attic if it was the only one left.

I have a hundred dollars left in my account which will go to food, and my phone and electric bill, and then I will be broke until my next paycheck in a week. My hours have been cut at work and my hunt for another job is not going well.

Once my checks come and my last month of rent is paid on my sublet, I’d be able to just barely make the deposit on any new place. But I'd basically be Harry Potter except I’d be living in a cupboard ABOVE the stairs, and I don’t even have magic.

HOWEVER!

I’ve taken a look at a specific boat which comes to about $1150 as is, roughly the same as an average deposit. I will need to transport it to my intended marina, which will cost another few hundred dollars if only because I may need to take time off work to transport it myself.

The boat is in working condition except for a few minor, mostly aesthetic repair jobs which are another few hundred dollars each. And I don’t have to share with nine other people or live in a dark cold closet.

I've reduced the gofundme to 2250 so I can buy the boat, transport it, get a few of the missing components, and cover at least part of the first month's slip fee.

I will appreciate any sort of contribution whether it is money or sharing. So share if you can't donate!
