Help me Bury a kind hearted hero

I met Kevin in 1994 and from that moment I knew he was a kind hearted soul.  Kevin didn't have a family he was in foster care for all of his young life,  He used this experience to become a loving man.  Family was one of the most important thing in his life.  He used to tell me how much he dreamed of having a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner with family.  His dreamed came true in 2001 when he met the most wonderful friends; he was welcome in  their homes.  Soon he was invited to those family dinners he so loved and wanted.  Kevin loved his nieces and nephews.  He is holding one of his nieces in the picture.  She was born a  day after his birthday and that was the best birthday present he ever had. 
Kevin was also a great friend.  He was a very quiet person when you first met him.  He was analyzing you reading you and boy did he know how to read people.  If he liked you, you were welcome and if he didn't he would tell you.  He was also a hero to many.  I was once eating lunch and we heard a commotion in the back of the restaurant, a man was choking and everybody just froze including myself.  Kevin just ran into action and saved the man's life and we just left.  The guys girlfriend came out running after him to give him money or at least to pay for our lunch.  He declined and told her to make sure he was ok and to watch over him.  I can sit here and write thousands of pages on his heroic actions but sadly my hero died on November 2, 2020 at home with his family.  Due to the pandemic we don't have the means to cover funeral costs.  Any donations would help. I miss him so much and I am so grateful to have had him in my life.  He will never be forgotten.
