<div>My name is Andrea, and I’m beyond excited (and a little nervous!) to start my very first year as a Special Day Class teacher for 1st and 2nd grade students this fall! After nearly a decade of working in my school district—as a para, support staff, and more—I’m finally stepping into the role I’ve dreamed of for years.

<div>From the moment I became a paraprofessional, I knew this was exactly where I was meant to be. My heart has always been in special education, and now I get to create a classroom full of love, learning, and laughter for my amazing students.

<div>I’m starting from scratch in a completely empty room, within a low income district. No chairs, no materials, not even a pencil sharpener.
