<div><strong>My Story: Why I'm Building This</strong>

<div>In 2020, I became seriously ill.

<div>I didn’t know why at first--only that my brain and body were shutting down.
</div>

</div>
<div>I saw countless doctors. I spent thousands trying to get better.
</div>

</div>
<div>Eventually, I discovered the cause: toxic mold exposure from my indoor environments.

<div>But it also gave me a mission: to make sure no one else has to go through what I did.

<div>I started by building Moldmap, a tool that helps people crowdsource and share information about buildings with mold history.

<div>We launched the Moldmap prototype back in February and are continuing to make it better.
</div>

<div>But it quickly became clear that software alone wasn’t enough.
</div>
